Karera has been appointed Systems Integrator for Federal Signal Products who produce Community Early Warning Systems and communications products that enable communities and towns to be notified via extremely loud public sirens or wireless desktop alert devices. These devices can be activated by emergency services to sound at a moments notice. Communities can then respond or even evacuate depending on the type of pre-defined sound from its siren or speakers.

Federal Signal's Model 2, outdoor warning is an Omni directional siren capable of producing intense warning signals over a wide area. The highly efficient model 2 produces a single tone sound level of 102 dBC at 100 feet on axis while making moderate power source demands. The siren can be installed on a roof or a utility pole.

A timer can be purchased separately to enable the siren to produce 1 to 3 signals. The AR timer can produce a timed WAIL or STEADY signal, and the FC will produce a WAIL, STEADY or FAST WAIL signal.

Federal Signal's Modulator Series Siren, a family of electronic sirens, produces high intensity warning signals over a large area. A Modulator siren consists of an omni-directional speaker array and a siren control unit/battery cabinet (purchased separately - see the UltraVoice Electronic Siren Controller). A highly efficient design enables the siren to produce a high sound level, while making moderate demands on the battery power source.

The innovative Modulator Siren Series speaker array consists of modules that utilize four (4) 100-watt drivers per module. The Modulator is available in several models rated from 106 to 125 dBC at 100ft/30m. Signal Description: The Modulator Siren Series controller provides a flat frequency response from 200 to 2000 Hz for excellent voice reproduction and with the MCP Controller produces warning signals such as:

  • WAIL (ATTACK)

  • STEADY (ALERT)

  • FAST WAIL

  • ALTERNATING STEADY

  • PULSED WAIL

Codespear delivers integrated Communications

Utilizing an embedded Voice Over IP (VoIP) architecture, the SmartMsg application along with the Radio Interoperability Module allows for the simultaneous text and voice broadcast of alert notifications to Two-Way Radios, “Push-to-Talk” enabled devices (like Nextel and other supported Cell Phones), PCs, Phones (PBX, IP Based, Cell & Satellite), Pagers, and Wireless PDA’s.
